General comments
Infecties door Cystoisopora belli (voorheen Isospora belli) behoeft bij immuuncompetente geen antibiotische behandeling.
Bij immuungecompromitteerden (o.a. bij HIV zolang CD4 getal <200 x 106/l): secundaire profylaxe met cotrimoxazol 1dd 480mg p.o. of ciprofloxacine 3x/week 500mg po.
